3rd Annual MS Stand Up Comedy Show Benefit Was An Unforgettable Evening, Thank You!

New York, NY — September 10, 2025 — The 3rd Annual MS Stand Up Comedy Show Benefit lit up the stage at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City, bringing together laughter, community, and generosity to raise funds for multiple sclerosis research. Headlined by celebrated comedian Tom Papa, the night also featured special surprise performances — including a crowd-delighting set from Jim Gaffigan — making it an unforgettable evening for a meaningful cause.

MS Stand Up was founded to support early-stage and underfunded MS research, backing bold ideas that may not yet receive traditional grant funding. Through the power of comedy, the annual benefit has become a signature event, uniting supporters, patients, and comedy lovers alike to accelerate progress toward a cure.

“The MS Stand Up Benefit is proof that laughter can drive change,” said Regina Schroeder, founder of the Mind Brain Philanthropic Foundation. “With the help of incredible performers like Tom Papa and surprise guests such as Jim Gaffigan, we’re able to not only entertain, but also raise critical dollars for research that offers real hope to those living with MS.”

This year’s benefit drew a packed house, with guests enjoying an evening of comedy while contributing to the organization’s ambitious 2025 fundraising goal. Funds raised will directly support innovative MS research by Yinghua Ma, Assistant Professor of Research in Neuroscience, Brain and Mind Research Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine, and beyond.
